Tiffany's Golf Outing a Big Success!
Tiffany's Bar & Grille held its 8th annual Charitable Golf Outing on August
18 at Bedford Trails in Lowellville. Proceeds benefited the Jessica
Moorhead Foundation for Hope's holiday activities and other activities.

Kelly Pavlik Shares Victory with JMFFH.
Kelly Pavlik's friends held a party for him at Tiffany's Bar & Grille a week
after the middleweight boxer's awesome victory in Memphis. Kelly signed
boxing gloves and photos and all tips collected at the bar--over $1800--
went to the Jessica Moorhead Foundation for Hope.

Let Your Dreams Fly Kite Festival--A Day of Fun and
Community. The Jessica Moorhead Foundation for Hope held its
second biennial kite festival at Austintown Park on Saturday, April 28.
Professional kite demonstrations, kite workshops and games for kids,
made it a great day for all

Wish Kites and Fun Run: Local Kids Doing Their Part
Thanks to Nathan Moorhead, a sixth-grader at Frank Ohl Middle School in
Austintown, hundreds of Wish Kites are hanging in area schools. Each kite
represents a $1 donation from students. (See our list of schools.) Nathan
also organized our Fun Run.

Business, Community Leaders Support JMFFH Reverse
Raffle Benefit
As always, our benefit dinner and reverse raffle was an inspiring,
enjoyable, and exciting evening. The excitement came from the generosity
of our supporters who sponsored the raffle and the silent and Chinese
auctions. The enjoyment was due to our volunteers and others who
donated goods and services. The inspiration came thanks to a video some
patients did with help from Jim Massaro of Massaro Productions and the
Children's Museum of the Valley and thanks to remarks by our U.S.
Congressman Charles Wilson, State Senator Capri Cafaro, and State
Senator Jason Wilson. Thanks to Jim Graham, President of U.A.W Local
1112, to Pete Gabriel and Ron Verb of 570 WKBN, and to Frank Ocasio

Fun and Fitness Day Benefits JMFFH
Thanks to Creekside Fitness and Health Center for hosting a Fun and
Fitness Day to benefit JMFFH. Donors worked out, took classes, and met
middleweight Kelly Pavlik. See some photos.

Jessica's Room is a Haven for Hospitalized Patients
The Jessica Moorhead Foundation for Hope provided funds and support to
create Jessica's Room, a new activity center for patients who are
hospitalized. Read More.
Shining Through 2006!
The Jessica Moorhead Foundation for Hope held its annual benefit fashion
show on October 22 at the Holiday inn Metroplex. Patients modeled
fashions from Macy's and hairstyles by Casal's with help from some YSU

2006 Friendship Day: A Day to Celebrate Life
JMFFH is proud to sponsor Friendship Day, a celebration where current
patients and those who have completed their treatment enjoy themselves

JMFFH Helps Launch Family Network
The Jessica Moorhead Foundation for Hope hosted the first meeting of the
OAK Family Network (OAK stands for Our Amazing Kids). It's for parents of
current and former patients to share their strength with one another.

for donating a wonderful evening.

Coach Heacock and YSU Players Give Patients a Day to Remember!
Three patients who love sports got to hang out with the Youngstown State
University Penguins in the locker room and on the field. Afterward, Jillian's
at the Southern Park Mall treated the boys to an afternoon of games.
Super Model for a Day!
Four beautiful young girls had an exciting day of glamor with the Jessica
Moorhead Foundation for Hope. Thanks to Macy's, Casal's de Spa, VIP

U.S. Rep. Ted Strickland Speaks at JMFFH Reverse Raffle
U.S. Representative Ted Strickland gave the keynote speech at the Jessica
Moorhead Foundation for Hope’s “Discover Your Wings” Benefit Dinner
and Reverse Raffle.

Tod Learning Community Launched
The Jessica Moorhead Foundation for Hope has established the Tod
Learning Community (TLC) to help meet the educational needs of patients
who are unable to attend school regularly because of low immunity,
weakness, and fatigue.
TLC Reading and Arts Festival
Patients participated in drama, art, and music activities.

Holiday Delights
Patients were treated to holiday activities, gifts, and a party, thanks to our
community!
YSU students experience the PR field while helping patients.
Dr. Jane Reid's class does an outstanding job of planning and conducting
an event for pediatric cancer patients.
Shining Through Fashion Show.
Patients and caregivers were among the models at our annual fashion
show.
Friendship Day 2005: .
JMFFH created a day of fun at Austintown Park for cancer patients and
survivors and their families. Thanks to Home Savings and Loan Company
employees for creating over 60 gift baskets for the kids who attended.
JMFFH, Fifth Season Restaurant Help Tod Nurses
JMFFH recently helped support training for nurses who assist with
chemotherapy and the Fifth Season donated a delicious, relaxing dinner
afterward.
